The Wire Whips Attachment is designed for achieving professional-quality whipping results with your Bosch Universal Plus, Bosch Universal Classic, or NutriMill Artiste Mixer. Whether you're making whipped cream, meringue, or light batters, the wire whips ensure fast and effective mixing. This guide covers how to use, clean, troubleshoot, and maintain your wire whips for long-lasting performance.

1. Using the Wire Whips Attachment

The Wire Whips are ideal for:

  • Whipping cream to soft or stiff peaks
  • Beating egg whites for meringues or soufflés
  • Mixing pancake, waffle, brownie, and cake batters
  • Preparing light and airy mousses

How to Attach the Wire Whips

  1. Select the correct whip driver:
    • Plastic Whip Driver – Best for whipping cream, eggs, and lighter batters
    • Metal Whip Driver – Stronger and better suited for slightly heavier mixtures
  2. Attach the wire whips to the whip driver by snapping them into place.
  3. Insert the whip driver into the center column of the mixing bowl.
  4. Lock the bowl in place and start on a low speed, gradually increasing as needed.

For Bosch Universal Plus & Bosch Universal Classic Mixers (4 Speeds + Pulse):

  • Speed 1-2: Gently incorporating ingredients
  • Speed 3-4: Mixing batters and light doughs
  • Pulse: Quick bursts of power for controlled mixing

For NutriMill Artiste Mixer (6 Speeds + Pulse):

  • Speed 1-2: Light mixing and incorporating ingredients
  • Speed 3-4: Beating batters and blending mixtures
  • Speed 5-6: Whipping cream and egg whites to stiff peaks
  • Pulse: Quick bursts of power for precision mixing

2. Care & Cleaning Instructions

The wire whips are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended), making them easy to clean. However, proper care will extend their lifespan.

How to Clean Your Wire Whips

  • After each use, rinse the whips under warm water to remove excess batter or cream.
  • Place in the dishwasher or wash with warm, soapy water.
  • Hand-dry immediately to prevent spotting or residue buildup.

Proper Storage

  • Store the whips separately from heavy attachments to prevent bending.
  • Keep them in a dry location to avoid moisture damage.

3. Troubleshooting Common Issues

1. The Wire Whips Are Not Spinning Properly

✔ Ensure the whip driver is properly inserted into the center post.
✔ Check for any food buildup around the driver mechanism and clean if necessary.

2. Ingredients Are Not Whipping to the Desired Consistency

✔ Make sure you are using the correct speed setting—higher speeds are needed for whipping.
✔ For cream, chill the bowl and whips before starting to help achieve stiff peaks.
✔ For egg whites, ensure no yolk contamination, as fat can prevent proper whipping.

3. The Wire Whips Are Bending or Breaking

✔ Wire whips are not designed for heavy doughs or thick batters—use the dough hook or cookie paddles instead.
✔ If damaged, replace the whips—they must be used with a Plastic or Metal Whip Driver (sold separately).

4. The Whips Detach During Mixing

✔ Ensure the whips are securely snapped into the whip driver before starting.
✔ If the driver is not fully inserted into the mixer bowl, it may not rotate properly.

4. Compatibility

The Wire Whips Attachment is compatible with:

  • Bosch Universal Plus Mixer
  • Bosch Universal Classic Mixer
  • NutriMill Artiste Mixer

They must be used with a Metal Whip Driver or Plastic Whip Driver, which are sold separately.

5. Best Practices for Long-Lasting Performance

✔ Always use the correct whip driver—plastic for light mixtures, metal for slightly heavier tasks.
✔ Avoid using wire whips for heavy doughs—they are meant for liquid and airy mixtures.
✔ Start at a low speed before gradually increasing to prevent splattering.
✔ Chill the bowl and whips for better whipping results with cream or egg whites.
Inspect the wires before each use—replace them if they appear bent or worn.

6. Warranty Information

The Wire Whips Attachment is covered under a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. If you experience any issues with the product, submit a Warranty Claim Here.

By following these usage, cleaning, and maintenance tips, your Wire Whips Attachment will continue to provide excellent whipping performance for years.
