Harvest Grain Mill FAQsUpdated 2 months ago

If you have questions about using your NutriMill Harvest Grain Mill, this FAQ guide provides answers to common issues, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for getting the best performance from your mill.

1. How Do I Grind Large Legumes?

For best results, grind large legumes in two stages:

  1. Set the texture control knob to the coarsest setting and grind once.
  2. Mill the coarse flour again at a finer setting to achieve the desired texture.

2. Why is My Grain Coming Out So Coarse?

If your flour is coming out too coarse, adjust the texture control knob:

  • Turn the knob clockwise to produce finer flour.
  • Adjust incrementally until the desired texture is reached.

3. How Do I Remove the Lower Stone?

The lower stone is secured with a reverse-threaded screw, which must be turned clockwise to loosen. However, we do not recommend removing the lower stone. If repairs are needed, please send the mill to a service center or submit a Warranty Claim for assistance.

4. Why Won’t My Grain Mill Turn On?

If the mill does not start, follow these troubleshooting steps:

  • Grain may be stuck between the stones on a fine setting, preventing the motor from starting.
  • Turn the knob counterclockwise to the coarsest setting before turning the mill on.
  • If the issue persists, remove the hopper and turn the mill upside down to dislodge stuck grains.

5. What is the Warranty for the NutriMill Harvest Grain Mill?

The NutriMill Harvest Grain Mill comes with a 5-year limited warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Defective products will be repaired or replaced at NutriMill’s discretion upon receiving the defective unit.

To submit a claim, please complete the Warranty Claim Form.

6. Why Won’t My Hopper Attach?

If the hopper is not attaching properly:

  • Ensure the tabs on the top grindstone are seated into place.
  • Loosen the adjustment knob to the coarsest setting and try attaching the hopper again.
