Cleaning & Maintaining Your Classic Grain MillUpdated 2 months ago

Proper care and maintenance of your NutriMill Classic Grain Mill will ensure optimal performance and longevity. Follow this guide to keep your mill running smoothly.

1. Regular Cleaning After Each Use

✔ Empty the flour bowl and separator cup – After milling, remove all flour to prevent buildup.
✔ Tap out excess flour from the air filter – A clogged filter can impact airflow and performance.
Brush away residue – Use a dry brush or cloth to clean the milling area.

2. Deep Cleaning (Every 6 Months or As Needed)

✔ Mill 3 cups of white rice on a coarse setting – This helps remove any lingering residue.
✔ Remove and clean the air filter – Tap out excess flour; replace it if it’s worn or clogged.
✔ Clean the separator cup and flour bowl – Wash with warm, soapy water and let air dry.
Inspect the rubber gasket on the lid – Apply a light dusting of flour or non-stick spray if the seal is too tight.

3. Long-Term Maintenance

✔ Replace the air filter and inlet grommet every 2 years (or as needed).
✔ Store in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture damage.
Only use dry grains—never mill wet or oily ingredients to avoid clogs.
